SHANNON KEIGHTLEY
Shannon Keightley, born and raised in Nampa, ID, has been dedicated to the art of dance for 30 years. Her journey began at the age of 5 at the Kennedy School of Dance, where she trained under the guidance of Anita Kennedy, Lisa Cowman, and Annie Calhoun. This early training laid the foundation for her passion for dance, which she pursued with fervor through her formative years.
In high school, Shannon joined the Skyview Blue Angels Dance Team, and she continued her dance education into college at the University of Idaho. There, she honed her skills in Ballet, Modern, and Jazz, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Dance, with a particular interest in injury prevention.
After graduation, Shannon relocated to the Portland Metro area to further immerse herself in Modern and Jazz dance. Her career in Portland included teaching Musical Theatre at Metropolitan Performing Arts Academy and hip hop classes at Portland Parks and Rec. At the Academy, she co-produced the “Best of Broadway Revue” at the Newmark Theatre in Portland and co-choreographed “Legally Blonde the Musical.”
In 2014, Shannon returned to Nampa, bringing her extensive experience back to her hometown. She has since taught jazz, ballet, pointe, contemporary, musical theatre, tap, hip hop, and lyrical dance at various studios throughout the valley. This marks her 7th season as the Owner and Artistic Director of Fuse Dance Collaboration, LLC, based in the Boise area. Under her leadership, Fuse Dance Collaboration has produced six seasons of shows and performed at numerous events, including IDEO, PRIDE, Illumbriate, and other collaborations with Boise artists.
Shannon has discovered a profound love for directing, which continuously motivates her to innovate and excel. Beyond her professional achievements, Shannon is happily married, a mother of two beautiful children, and manages a small farm. She is passionate about networking with other dancers and is dedicated to fostering growth and connection within the Boise dance community.
